Purpose
Provide occupational therapy to specific patients to improve their quality of life and independence.
Essential Job Functions Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate and establish the plan of care.
- Provide occupational therapy according to the plan of care established.
- Report any observed or reported changes in the patient's condition and/or needs.
- Promote safety and a safe environment, follow Agency guidelines, resolve any issues and immediately report any issues.
- Document care provided according to agency procedure.
- Attend in-service programs to meet compliance requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Always be professional, on time and communicate effectively.
- Attend weekly case conference.
- Be a team player with a great attitude.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
- Must be able to work with ill, disabled and elderly patients.
- Must be able to deal tactfully with patients, staff and family members.
- Great verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Quick learner
Education and Experience
- At least 2 years experience working in a home healthcare agency.
Licensing/Certifications
Must have a OT license in the state of Florida.
