Purpose
Provide therapy to specific patients to improve the quality of life and independence and treat patients according to their established therapy plan of care.
Essential Job Functions Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform therapy as per specific patient care instructions and the plan of care.
- Report any observed or reported changes in the patient's condition and/or needs to the PT overseeing the case.
- Promote safety and a safe environment, follow Agency guidelines, resolve any issues and immediately report any issues to the PT overseeing the case.
- Document care provided according to agency procedure.
- Attend in-service programs to meet compliance requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Always be professional, on time and communicate effectively
- Attend departmental meetings

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
- Must be able to work with ill, disabled and elderly patients.
- Must be able to deal tactfully with patients, staff and family members.
- Great verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Education and Experience
- At least 2 years experience working in a healthcare agency.
Licensing/Certifications
Must have a PTA license in the state of Florida.
